The Last Ship is an American post-apocalyptic drama television series that is based on a novel of the same name by William Brinkley. After a pandemic kills 80% of the world's population, the crew of an unaffected Navy ship - the USS Nathan James - must try to find a cure to save humanity. Their mission is simple: Find a cure, stop the virus.
