Meliodas and Ban go on to the Demon King with an ally called Wild. Meanwhile, Meliodas begins to talk about his past with his younger brother Zeldris. Zeldris fell in love with a vampire named Gerda. However, because the Vampire King rebelled against the Demon King, the Demon King ordered Zeldris to "execute the Vampire Clan" along with all the rebels. Zeldris is distraught with the desire to protect his loved one and the conflicting desire remain loyal to the Demon King. Immediately before their execution, Zeldris points his sword at the vampire clan and imprisons them in solid crystal instead.
