After the death of Lady Taisha, Suou is appointed as the new chief as the Mud Whale. However, Suou learns that the Council of Elders is planning to sink the Mud Whale beneath the sea of sand - with everyone still on it! He is then imprisoned by the council beneath the ship. Neri attempts to warn Chakuro of what the council is planning, and a mysterious force appears to take over her body and show Chakuro visions of the dead and living. Chakuro, with the help of several of his friends, manages to get into the bowels of the ship, where they find Neri and a mysterious creature.
