Griffith will not let Guts simply leave. He says that Guts belongs to him. With a single swing of his sword, Guts defeats Griffith by cutting through his sword and leaves the Hawks. Later on, Griffith seduces Charlotte in her room and is caught (and sentenced to imprisonment).
