Odette Toulemonde (Catherine Frot) finally meets her favorite author, Balthazar Balsan (Albert Dupontel), rich and seductive, but is on the edge of depression. In his modest life as a seller of cosmetics in a department store, she tries to convey to him the happiness she feels through reading his novels.
